Ascorbyl palmitate vitamin C is made from the esterification of natural palmitic acid and ascorbic acid. It looks like a white or slightly yellow powder, is difficult to dissolve in water and vegetable oil, and is easily soluble in ethanol. Vitamin C palmitate is more stable than vitamin C. It is an efficient, safe and non-toxic new fat-soluble antioxidant that can resist aging.

Application
- Ascorbyl palmitate vitamin C maintains the activity of vitamin C, and effectively avoids the three major shortcomings of vitamin C that are afraid of heat, light, and moisture, and has good stability.
- L-ascorbgyl palmitate, referred to as L-AP, is a new multi-functional food additive. It is now widely used as a fat-soluble antioxidant and nutritional fortifier added to oils or foods.
- Ascorbate palmitate has both hydrophilic ascorbic acid group and lipophilic palmitic acid group due to the implantation of palmitic acid group, making it an excellent surfactant.
- KageyamaK research found that it can strongly inhibit the DNA synthesis of Ehrlich ascites cancer cells and decompose the cell membrane phospholipids of cancer cells. It is an excellent anti-cancer substance.
- In addition, it is also used in the fields of cosmetics and medical health products. It can be used as a stabilizer in pharmaceutical ointments and capsule preparations, added to thermal paper to increase the stability of the paper, and added to cosmetics to enhance its efficacy.
